TASER & Stun Gun Certification for Tennessee Security Guards

The TASER Certification Course satisfies Tennessee training requirements under Tennessee Code Annotated §62-35for the lawful use of electronic control devices by licensed security guards.

This course includes classroom instruction on use-of-force law, physiological effects of electrical devices, deployment techniques, safety procedures, and reporting responsibilities. Students also complete hands-on drills to demonstrate competency in proper use, aiming, and aftercare.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a TASER certification card issued by a qualified instructor, which must be carried while performing duties requiring the device. Employers are required to maintain training records for all certified guards as part of their compliance documentation.

This training is conducted every Thursday at 8:00 a.m. by state-certified instructors from Absolute Protection Academy.
