Less-Lethal Certification Package for Tennessee Security Guards

The Less-Lethal Device Training course meets Tennessee requirements for registered guards or applicants who will carry a club, stun gun, chemical spray, night stick, or other less-lethal device while performing licensed security duties.

Training covers the legal use, safe handling, deployment, documentation, and retention of each approved device. Students must demonstrate competence in both classroom and practical instruction for each device type they will be certified to carry.

Per Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance regulations, each guard is required to hold a certification card issued by a qualified instructor and must present this card upon request by law enforcement or state inspectors. Employers are responsible for maintaining training records for each certified employee.

This training is conducted every Thursday at 8:00 a.m. by state-certified instructors from Absolute Protection Academy.
